Hygroove Radial Internally Enhanced Aluminum Tubing

Hygroove technology is the quality substitution for costly helical enhanced copper tube in condenser and evaporator applications. The micro grooves inside this new aluminum tube are optimized for the best possible refrigerant-side heat transfer yielding the following benefits:

  • Price per foot of 3/8″ (A1 tube is 40% less than copper)
  • Weight per foot 3/8″ (A1 tube is 40% less than copper)
  • Easy to form and bend

  • Less material spring back vs. Copper (Ensuring a better bond between tube and fin during expansion)

    Multi-Port Extrusion (MPE)

    MPE is an engineered tube designed for maximum heat transfer in brazed heat exchangers. This type of aluminum tubing has been used in the automotive industry for over 20 years, evolving to micro tubing sizes.

    The evolution of copper coil heat exchangers is growing rapidly as a function of many factors, including: lower commodity cost, improved BTU efficiency, smoother process integration, increased recycling ratios, gas charge/environmental concerns and general sustainability.

    HyBraz for Brazing Applications

    HyBraz is Aluminum Precision Tubing’s coating process for applying a variety of special fluxes to Multi-port Extrusions (MPE) components. Our coated MPE is delivered ready to braze. The coating is designed for your alloy and brazing conditions. Using pre-coated tubes will help reduce your process time for assembly to finished product. Our coated MPE’s are certified using non destructive measures to insure a consistent and even coating. From customer experience, MPE’s allow for greater performance and lower costs.

    One Solid Unit

    Brazed heat exchanges are one solid unit that offer lower weight, increased efficiency and cost savings. With properly matched allow combinations, the life of the heat exchanger core will surpass that of copper tube mechanically expanded fin heat exchangers.

    When making the long distance connection between the outdoor air conditioner / heat pump to the indoor evaporator, replace copper tubing with Aluminum Line Sets to minimize cost, reduce weight and optimize performance.
